Do you think it's coincidence?

Today I just went to have a cuppa coffee with my colleague, Chandan a classmate of mine, in cafeteria at office. We chit chatted for a while until the coffee was over and started to head towards our cubicles. We saw a lady, totally a new face at office, and both said “Is that Ruchi?” to each other. I wanted confirm that and walked fast and saw her again when she turned back and I was sure that it was her and I called “Ruchi” and she turned back and checked who’s calling her. She did not quite see me and got into the team room specified for people who visit our office from different offices. But I persisted and went close to the team room and waved at her from outside. She came out and I again got confirmed by asking her “are you Ruchi?” though I was sure that she was it. She was totally taken aback and she could not remember us immediately and then I said “Do you remember us? We were all classmates in BIT (Bangalore Institute of Technology)”. She now kinda got back her memory and said “Yeah why not, I do remember you folks!” And said “World is so small”. Yes I said and I really gave a thought on this statement for about few minutes before saying yes to join her for lunch at our great cafeteria at level 5.

Yes, the world is really small with the age of communication we are in and with internets, mobiles etc the distance is much smaller. But meeting a classmate, after nine years, whom you saw him/her the last time the day you said good bye to college is something wonderful and the feeling can not be really expressed. In the excitement, I did not realize that I had a team lunch and also made a promise to join our classmate to lunch with her along with Chandan. I joined her for lunch and the conversation was nostalgic. We talked, talked and talked about our class, classmates and events which are unforgettable. I said “excuse me guys I have to go” and headed to Saga, a Hotel near our office, with team. I was enjoying my food and I heard some one calling me by name “nata, how are you?” and I turned back and I was astonished to see another classmate, Sundar, of mine. I said to myself “Oh my god what’s happening, is it real?!” We were all classmates in engineering and I met two of them, within a span of two hours, whom I had seen some 9 years ago. Truly, the world is small. I told him about Ruchi and he was also surprised about the co incidence. I came back to office and narrated about Sundar to Ruchi. I still can’t think this as co incidence. What do you think?

It's raining in Bengaluru!

Yes!It started raining in Bengaluru from last week. As usual, the skies opened up to shower the much needed relief in summer. The sky gods have been keeping up the promise and the tradition of showering if the mercury level rises up in summer despite of the fact that the deforestation due to both so called infrastructure projects and so not known fact that there is a scam of chopping off the trees in the name of widening of roads. As a great quotes says “Facts are stranger than fiction”, the rain gods in namma Bengaluru holds the quote intact. It rains mostly in the evening. Yes, it pours the entire night after most of the bangaloreans have reached their homes. I am blessed to be here.

Few days back me and my friends were hanging out on our adda and it started raining. No one wanted to take a shelter =), instead we all went to a nearby ice cream shop and quenched our thirst having grapes candy and walked straight to a bajji center and had our fills with hot hot bajjis and mirchis. Oh I just want to relive those moments again and again.

I enjoy the day after the rain hit night. A new day with all new beginnings, the cool weather and the brown brick walls slowly turning green, the rain droplets on the flowers oh I can go on and on.
